Industrial shredders vary in many ways, depending on the function they perform. Internal mechanical processes can include cutting, grinding, hammering and com
Many shredders also incorporate shaking / sorting mechanisms. Internal machines can travel in a rotary, lateral or vertical direction. The speeds of internal processes also vary considerably, to adapt to the materials that the machines move. Shredders can be partially classified according to the type of process or processes they employ.
Shredders
Shredders use abrasion, often combined with compression to pulverize materials, usually to produce granular products. In the processes can be used wheels, drums and plates. They can be high or low speed machines, depending on the type of material they are intended for.
Granulators
Granulators are mainly used for the recycling of plastics from manufacturing processes such as injection molding. These units use blades, rather than abrasive surfaces, to reduce parts or clippings, etc. with fine particles that can be easily reused in production lines. Some granulators are equipped with thermoforming units that transform the output into easily manageable waste or production pieces. Granulators vary widely in size and mechanics depending on the type of industry, the types of materials handled and where they will be used.
Mills
Mills are used to crush or pulverize materials. The most common configuration is a chamber containing a rotating rotor with rotating steel blades. The chamber is typically gravity fed and the holes in the outlet grids control the size of the particles produced. Machine construction material, configuration, distribution and rotation speed are some of the factors that determine the type of material that can be processed.
There are two main categories on the market: dry, when the material to be treated is industrial waste, or water-based because the waste derives from post-consumption.
The Bruno Foclieri company offers both solutions. Specifically we talk about water mills or WET and dry. The load capacity varies according to the size of the inlet (in the TOP line it reaches up to 1500X1000 mm, in the EASY POWER up to 2000X920 mm). They are high productivity processing systems equipped with a core made according to complex carpentry techniques: the rotor is monobloc, without welding. This confirms its solidity and robustness.
Shear shredders
Shear shredders use rotary cutters or guillotine knives to cut materials rather than pulverizing, chipping or grinding. Shears can be found in many different configurations for different industries. The types of feed, speeds and the type and number of knives vary according to the applications.
Special shredders
Special shredders designed for a particular type of material may use combinations of the above processes or unique devices developed specifically for that material.
